Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC) was jointly invested by Shanghai Lujiazui Group Co Ltd, Hannover Fairs China Ltd, Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd and Messe München.
SNIEC offers a 200,000-square-meter indoor space and a 100,000-sq-m outdoor area including 17 column-free and ground-level exhibition halls. Since its opening on Nov 2nd, 2001, SNIEC has maintained rapid progress of development. The center annually holds about 100 international exhibitions and welcomes more than 4 million businessmen from around the world.
As the first Sino-German exhibition center, SNIEC's success shows that the exhibition industry plays a key role in the economic development of China and East Asia. It will continue with efforts to contribute to the growth of the exhibition sector of China and other Asian countries.
Geographic location
SNIEC is located at Pudong Development Zone of Shanghai, close to the Century Park. It is 35 km away from Pudong International Airport in the east and 32 km from Hongqiao International Airport in the west. The first maglev train in China, Metro Line 2 and multiple bus lines facilitate convenient transportation between the center and other areas of the city.
